1. Driver matching. The red die needs only 1.8–2.4 V while G/B/W need up to 3.4 V — plan separate rails, not one shared resistor.
2. Binning tolerance. Ask for wavelength bins per channel; a 5 nm spread on green is visible on camera.
3. Thermal interface. Use a metal-core PCB with a proper dielectric layer — ceramic helps, but the board still has to carry the heat away.
4. Optics. With a 120° native angle, secondary lenses decide beam quality; validate your chosen TIR lens with a sample run.
